Gordon will be directing his last percussion ensemble and steel band concert at Ithaca College on April 24, 2019 at 8:15PM.  The event will be live streamed: stay tuned to Facebook for a link. This concert will include Levitan's Concerto for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble, movement 1.  Giff Howarth will join us for a reprieve of this great work (it was last performed in the mid 1980's at IC, with Ted rounds as soloist). It will also include the premiere of a work by Josh Oxford, whose compositions have long been a staple for Ithaca College percussion.  I am also hopeful that the concert will also include the premiere of a new composition by James Ieraci, long time friend of Gordon's and student of Dean Witten). The Ithaca College Steel Band will again present Ben Cordell as director, and feature new compositions by John Wooton!
